I’ve found some used ones on eBay for ~$300-$400. ![]() I was pretty much set on a Late 2012 Mac Mini as many have mentioned it to be the most affordable, upgradeable in terms of RAM and storage, and the last Mini to run the latest macOS. I’ve come to the conclusion that a Mac Mini is the best solution as our Plex Server, as it will also serve as our dedicated home theater PC connected to our living room TV, for web browsing, etc. We have an Apple ecosystem in our home iPhones, iPads, and MacBook Pros. Here are some of my questions and thoughts: Plex has been recommended to me many times over the years, but every time I feel I’ve found the best setup to fit our needs, I learn something new that makes me rethink it. I’ve been researching the best setup for our needs in our home. I am in need of your expertise to let me know if I’m going the right direction for my Plex Media Server setup. I apologize in advance if all of these questions seem elementary, as I am fairly new to media servers and networking in general. ![]()
